The Innovation Office hosted technology transfer professionals from the National Intellectual Property Management Office (NIPMO), University of Fort Hare, University of Limpopo, University of the Western Cape, Rhodes University, Mangosuthu University of Technology and Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation for administration training this past week.

The training consisted of a number of sessions throughout the week where the following topics were discussed: basics of technology transfer, the disclosure and patenting processes, stakeholder relationships, routes to commercialisation, legislation, entrepreneurship as well as technology transfer office marketing.

We acknowledge the National Intellectual Property Management Office for their support and financial assistance which enabled us to provide training for emerging technology transfer professionals.
