On completion of a five week academic component, specialised training in Public Management at Virginia Commonwealth University, 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow Mary-Ann Chetty travelled to Washington, D.C., to participate in a three-day Presidential Summit hosted by President Barack Obama.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders was launched by President Obama’s administration five years ago, to support emerging African leaders as they drive economic growth, enhance democratic governance, and strengthen the civil society structures that will help the continent grow and prosper.

Mary-Ann will take part in networking and panel discussions with U.S. leaders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

The full agenda for the Summit can be viewed here along with live streaming.
